Redmi Writing Pad launched in India at just Rs 599

Electronics maker Redmi has launched another utility gadget in India in the form of the Writing Pad. Redmi Writing Pad can be a daily help device for both adults and children. It can be used for creating doodles, taking notes and various other purposes. In short, the device acts as an electronic notebook and costs Rs 599. It is available on the company’s official website.

The Redmi Writing Pad is portable, compact and durable and can be carried anywhere. It comes with a custom LCD film with a screen size of 21.6 cm (8.5 inches) with a strikingly clear display. The writing pad offers the experience of traditional paper with the smoothness of an LCD screen. Product size is 21cm x 14cm x 0.5cm (L x W x D). The built-in battery (Button Cell CR2016) is replaceable and can be used to write up to 20,000 pages.

The writing pad comes with a stylus that can be adjusted to different line sizes. The stylus is only 5 gms and that means it is quite light for both kids and adults. It is also pressure sensitive and allows the creation of different shades. In addition, the stylus has a slide and lock mechanism for ease of use.

The screen of the Redmi Writing Pad does not emit light and prevents eye fatigue after prolonged use. This means parents don’t have to worry about their kids using the Writing Pad for daily drawing. A button at the bottom of the tablet lets you clear the screen and create something new. Meanwhile, a lock switch on the side can be used to lock the screen and prevent content from being deleted.
