Quebec police are investigating the death earlier this week of a 42-year-old man during a police operation involving the RCMP.

The Office of Independent Investigations indicates that the RCMP asked him to investigate the circumstances of the death in TerrebonneQue., North of Montreal.

Watchdog says RCMP and Canada Border Services Agency members went to a house on Foucault Street after 2pm

He says the RCMP Tactical Unit was involved in the operation, in which the body of a 42-year-old man was found inside the house, pronounced dead shortly after.

The RCMP did not provide much information about the police operation or the deceased man, but some reports indicate that the man was wanted for alleged crimes committed abroad.
