‘Phone Bhoot’ will be part of ‘Chacha Chaudhary’ comic.

Mumbai: “Phone Bhoot” moves into the world of comics to serve up a horror comedy in 2D. The makers of the upcoming film, which stars Katrina Kaif, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ishaan Khatter and Jackie Shroff, have teamed up with India’s leading comic book studio Diamond Toons, the iconic book publishers behind the classic Chacha Chaudhary and Sabu comics.

With this partnership, ‘Phone Bhoot’ will now star in the comic book series ‘Chacha Chaudhary’ created by Pran along with the three key characters of the horror comedy. The story takes the audience on a hilarious journey as two no-nonsense ghost hunters team up with a ghost in an elaborate plan to take down an equally hilarious bad guy.

Speaking about the launch of the comic, Manish Verma, Director, Diamond Toons said in a statement, “We are delighted to partner with Excel Entertainment for this exclusive edition of ‘Chacha Chaudhary and Phone Bhoot’. Chacha Chaudhary, being a versatile person, relates aptly to almost all aspects of our lives. With fantastic satire and wit, along with the characters from the film, ‘Phone Bhoot’ will help create a strong bond with his huge fan base, whether they are 8 years old or 80 years old.”

The makers of the film, Excel Entertainment, first collaborated with Diamond Toons during ‘Fukrey Returns’ whose characters were also featured in a previous comic ‘Chacha Chaudhary’. With this association, Diamond Toons will now launch a comic book in collaboration with ‘Phone Bhoot’ where the characters will now be a part of Chacha Chaudhary’s storyline as he embarks on a new adventure with his sidekick Sabu.

Although the story details remain unknown at this stage, the series promises to be filled with fun and entertainment with equal doses of scares and laughs.

Directed by Gurmmeet Singh and written by Ravi Shankaran and Jasvinder Singh Bath, ‘Phone Bhoot’ is produced by Excel Entertainment and is slated to release on November 4, 2022.
