Odisha women’s volleyball team wins bronze medal

Gujarat: With a commendable act, the women’s volleyball team of Odisha won the bronze medal by defeating Telengana in a hard-fought encounter in the semi-final round today in Gujrat.

In addition, the women managed to bring home the state’s first medal in the National Beach Volleyball Games.

According to the reports Shibani Priyadarshani, Monalisha Patra were the players of Odisha volleyball team accompanied by their coach Sudarshan Bhusan Mishra.

According to reports, Odisha volleyball team defeated Telengana with the score of 2-0, 21-12 and 21-15 in the event.

It is to be noted here that Odisha Volleyball Association Training Camp was conducted with the support of Sports and Youth Services Department of Odisha Government for two months at KIIT ground.

Kandhamal Member of Parliament (MP), KIIT & KISS founder and Volleyball Association of India President Dr. Achyuta Samanta congratulated the achievers for bringing glory to their state.

Notably, earlier today Odisha women’s football team cruised their way to the final with a dominant 5-2 win over Tamil Nadu in the semi-final game today of the 2022 National Games.
