Meghan Markle has revealed she’s a deal or no deal briefcase and revealed she quit because she felt “objectified” and like a “bimbo” – a word at the heart of her latest Spotify podcast, released today featuring Paris Hilton.

The Duchess of Sussex said she was grateful for the job as she tried to break through as an actress and “pay the bills” – “but not how it made me feel, which wasn’t smart”.

The California-based royal, who appeared on the program in 2006, revealed that she and other women on the show were forced to “line up” for various cosmetic procedures, including “padding in your bra”.

Megan appeared on the second season of NBC’s Deal or No Deal 16 years ago. First he stood next to briefcase number 11 for two episodes, then moved to number 24. She left the show mid-season.

She said: “I ended up leaving the show. I was much more than what was objectified on stage.

“I didn’t like feeling forced to be whole. And some substance. And that’s how it felt to me at the time when I was reduced to this specific archetype the word bimbo, adding, “It’s a word that’s used to demean a beautiful woman, to say that she’s beautiful, but maybe she’s a prostitute or perhaps she is stupid or foolish’.

Meghan appeared on the show before he made his breakthrough on the hit show Suits before meeting Prince Harry.

She said: “I was surrounded by smart women on that stage with me, but that wasn’t the focus of why we were there and I would end up leaving with this pit in my stomach. Like I said, I was grateful for the job, but not for how it made me feel, which wasn’t smart.
