Man killed in rural Victoria shooting

One man died and another was seriously injured after an accident at a home in northeastern Victoria.

Police responded to reports of a shooting on the Beechworth rural property just before 9pm Thursday.

A man’s body was found in front of the house.

The injured man, believed to be in his sixties, was located in a shed at the back of the property and flown to the hospital for treatment.

Homicide investigators are investigating.
