Petaling Jaya: Opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim did not rule out running for the parliamentary seat of a former MP from the Kedillan Rakyat (PKR) party in the upcoming Malaysian general elections.
According to Malaysian media reports, Anwar did not specify which seat he would dispute from, but only stated that the seat should have an “additional advantage” for the PKR and Pakatan Harapan (PH).
“Honestly, I haven’t decided where to go, but I will definitely consider the place held by the PKR and PH ‘traitors’,” he said during an event with reporters on Wednesday evening. Quoted said. September 28).

Although he did not specify which seat he would contest from, he did not rule out Gombak’s parliamentary seat if the party leadership so decided.
“Gombak? That’s not necessarily the case, but I’m not ruling it out, ”Anwar said from Free Malaysia Today.
He was answering the question of whether he would compete in Gombak, which is currently held by former PKR vice president Ajmin Ali, who left the party in February 2020.
Mr. Azmin, who is now the Prime Minister for International Trade and Industry in Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yacoub’s government, has nicknamed the PKR as the “Sheraton Move” along with the other 9 PKR MPs.
He joined parliamentarians from Parti Pribumi Bursatu Malaysia (Bursatu) who also left the PH government. The move led to the collapse of the 22-month administration of the then prime minister, Mahathir Mohamad.
