At the age of four, in the year 1979, Babu had a cameo in the movie Needa. Subsequently, he worked on several Telugu films as a child artist. He attended Higher Secondary School at St. Bede’s Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School. After that he received his Bachelor of Commerce degree from Loyola College in Chennai. He shot his first film in a starring part in Raja Kumarudu in the year 1999. The film became a box office success and provided the actor with notoriety in the industry, after which the talented actor never looked back. .
