The BJP accused the Uddhav faction of Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) of engaging in pacification policy for an article published in “Marathi Muslims” in Shiv Sena’s spokesman “Saamana”. Attacking Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray on Saturday, Mumbai BJP President Ashish Shelar said the Shiv Sena Uddhav Balasaheb party wanted to garner Marathi and Muslim votes, but skillfully played with words and called him Marathi Muslim.

Uddhav Thackeray faction accused of pacification

During this, he also stated that the BJP will organize “Jagar Mumbaicha Yatra” in November to raise awareness among the people of the metropolis about this policy of pacification and corruption within the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation. Ashish Shelar said Uddhav Thackeray was frustrated because he knew he would be defeated in the BMC election. That’s why he now he turns to Muslims.

The president of the Mumbai BJP said it was a pacification. Meanwhile, referring to Balasaheb Thackeray, the founder of Shiv Sena, Ashish Shelar claimed that he never believed in collecting votes in the name of religion and caste. Shelar asked why did you avoid it? Why do you ask for votes in the name of caste and religion.

BJP will seek votes in the name of development

Meanwhile, the leader of the BJP stated that the BJP has always represented “Marathi-Mumbaikar”. He said that his party will not seek votes in the name of caste and religion, but in the name of development. During this, he described as symbolic the visit of former state environment minister and leader of Shiv Sena (UBT) Aaditya Thackeray to the rain-affected areas of Maharashtra. He asked why agricultural loans were not granted despite former Maha Vikas Aghadi’s assurances.

It is significant that on October 22, in ‘Saamana’, a front page article was published on the support of the Marathi Muslim Seva Sangh for Uddhav Thackeray. The article stated that the organization is active in Mumbai, Konkan, Marathwada, Vidarbha and western Maharashtra.
