Love Is Blind’s Shayne Jansen is ‘broken’ over her mother’s death
Love Is Blind star Shane Jansen just shared some tragic news. His mother, Karen, has sadly passed away.
The broker revealed the heartbreaking update on Instagram, telling fans he felt “broken inside” but happy knowing he spent as much time with her as possible.
Shane’s mother appeared during his time on the show, where she supported her son’s quest to find love.
Her unconditional love and devotion to her son was evident to many viewers as she was eager to embrace her potential daughter-in-law despite the show’s unconventional methods.
Shane was never shy about expressing his love for his mother and how important she was to him. He declared himself a mama’s boy on the show and admitted that her approval means a lot to him.
In his emotional post, Shane revealed how close he was to his mum, saying the pair had been inseparable for the past year. He stated that they would FaceTime each other every day and enjoy coffee in the morning. Shane did not reveal the cause of his mother’s death.

Shortly after sharing the news of his mother’s death, Shane’s comments were flooded with fans and loved ones sending him their condolences. Many of his Love Is Blind co-stars also took the time to share their thoughts.

Fellow Season 2 stars Daniel Rhule and Deepti Vempati commented: “Thinking of you and sending love. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️’ and ‘Sending you love’, with respect.
Villain of the season, Shake Chatterjee, chimed in to share fond memories of Karen, saying, “We had the best weekend with her in Wisconsin. She treated us all like her own sons. She will be greatly missed ❤️.”
Fan favorite Kyle Abrams kept his words short and simply wrote “?,” while Shayna added her thoughts, writing, “Praying for you and your family Shane ?? we are here for you ?.”
Recent episodes of Love Is Blind: After the Altar have revealed that most of the cast have been in a relationship since the end of the show. So it’s no surprise that they’re eager to support Shane at this difficult time.

Although most of the couples from the first two seasons are no longer together, Netflix has renewed Love Is Blind for another season.
Singles from Dallas entered the pods hoping to find love at the end of this unique social experiment. The highly-anticipated 10-episode season will be released on Netflix for three weeks starting October 19, 2022.
