Lily Collins says she and Charlie McDowell can ‘conquer anything’


Lily Collins is married and happy. In an interview at GO’s 16th Annual Campaign Gala on Saturday, Emily, 33, stars in Paris gushed about her marriage to Charlie McDowellcalling the director her “best friend.”

“We can conquer anything,” she said at the exit. “We’ve been through so many changes globally, personally and to be able to have a partner by your side who makes you laugh when you need it most and helps you emotionally through things like moving to a foreign country for four months.”

“I just feel so grateful to have someone by my side to be able to pull this off and have your best friend with you all the time,” she added.

Last month, when filming wrapped on the third season of Emily in Paris, the actress posted a handwritten note to her Instagram story from McDowell, 39, wishing her luck on the first day of filming in June. The note read: “Have a nice first day, Emily. You show those high heels who’s boss! [Love] ° C”

“From the first day to the last thank you for supporting and encouraging me @CharlieMcDowell,” she captioned the photo at the time. “It’s almost time to hang up your heels again.”

“Happy last day to our hardworking team @EmilyinParis!” she added. “An amazing family of actors and my happy tired legs.”

In honor of the final day of filming for Season 3 of the Netflix comedy, Collins also posted a series of behind-the-scenes photos from the set. There was a mirror selfie with her make-up team, as well as pictures with Ashley Park, Camille Razat, Bruno Guerri, Samuel Arnold and Zoe Bush, who also appeared in the show.

“Words can’t express how emotional I feel when I finish each season of @emilyinparis and this year is no different. We truly have the best, most dedicated team out there and a cast I can call family,” she captioned the post at the time.

“Thank you for being endlessly supportive, inspiring and encouraging and working tirelessly to make it all happen. I can’t wait to tell people about what we did. Gord doesn’t even do it justice.’

She also said in French “Je vous aime tous” which means “I love you all”. Netflix also released a preview for the next season of Emily in Paris.

A season 3 press release says that Emily’s choices next season will affect “her future in France” and that the social media-savvy character will continue to “immerse herself in the adventures and surprising twists and turns that life in Paris provides . “

You can watch Emily in Paris season 1 and 2 in full on Netflix. The first episode of season 3 will air on December 21.
