As she wraps up filming the third season of Emily in Paris, Lily Collins is grateful for her husband Charlie McDowell’s support. The 33-year-old actress posted to her Instagram Story on Wednesday a handwritten note from her husband wishing her luck on her first day of filming in June.
The note read: “Have a nice first day, Emily. You show those high heels who’s boss! [Love] C” “From day one to day one, thank you for supporting and encouraging me @CharlieMcDowell,” she captioned the shot. “It’s almost time to hang up your heels again.”
“Happy last day to our incredibly dedicated @EmilyinParis team,” she added. “An amazing family of actors and my happy tired legs.”
In honor of the final day of filming for Season 3 of the Netflix comedy, Collins also posted a series of behind-the-scenes photos from the set. There was a mirror selfie with her make-up team, as well as pictures with Ashley Park, Camille Razat, Bruno Guerri, Samuel Arnold and Zoe Bush, who also appeared in the show.
“Words can’t express how emotional I feel when I finish each season of @emilyinparis and this year is no different. We truly have the best, most dedicated crew and cast I can call family,” she captioned the post. “Thank you for being endlessly supportive, inspiring and encouraging and working tirelessly to make it all happen. I can’t wait to share what we’ve created. Gord doesn’t even do it justice.’
She also said in French “Je vous aime tous” which means “I love you all”. On Saturday, Netflix shared a sneak peek from the next season of Emily in Paris. Emily, who is still in a love triangle with chef Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) and dashing Brit Alfie, says: “It’s the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make.”
Emily must decide whether to accept an offer from her boss Madeline (Kate Walsh), which will require her to leave Paris or stay in Savoir with her prickly but powerful mentor Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beauliot).
That’s according to a press release for season 3 Emily’s choices this season will affect ‘her future in France’ and that the social media-savvy heroine will continue to “immerse herself in the adventures and surprising twists and turns that life in Paris provides.”
