Teen Mom star Leah Messer and her then-fiancé Jaylen Mobley released a joint statement two months after they got engaged, saying they’ve come to the conclusion it’s appropriate to “go their separate ways.”
Unfortunately for everyone involved, Leah Messer and Jaylan Mobley will not be walking down the aisle together. Through a joint statement posted on both of their Instagram accounts, the Teen Mom 2 star and her fiance confirmed they had called it quits just two months after announcing their engagement.
The Oct. 11 post said, “Although the past year has been very exciting for both of us, we’ve realized it’s best to go our separate ways,” alongside a black-and-white photo of the exes in better days. “We are truly grateful for the opportunities for personal growth as well as the memories this partnership has provided us.”
The statement went on to say, “We are so grateful that so many of you have followed the progress of our love story, and we sincerely hope that you will continue to do so even as we continue our journey as friends. We will always have love and respect for each other, and during this time as we regroup and move out of this chapter together, we ask that you accept our need for privacy.
During the couple’s anniversary trip to Costa Rica in August, Jaylan popped the question with a 4.7-carat custom ring designed by jeweler Mike Necta of New York Diamond Jewelry. The two are now engaged.
Along with photos from the intimate proposal, which took place on the beach on August 20, Leah posted the caption “Two souls, one heart” on Instagram. “The rumors are true!!”
Leah, 30, and Jaylen, 26, went public with their romance on Instagram in September 2021 after the MTV star posted a snap of them making out with a United States Army officer.
Leah is 30 years old and Ceylan is 26 years old. Four months later, on an episode of Teen Mom Family Vacation, the two were filmed discussing on FaceTime about Jaylan joining his girlfriend on vacation. This provided fans with new information about their relationship and gave them new context for the conversation.
During the episode that aired on January 25, Leah shared with Ceylan that they have a life coach at their facility and that she is working on being less guarded. “I do my best to acknowledge your generosity. I need to let the barriers fall, but I’m afraid to. I have to let the walls come down.
In response, Ceylan said, “I have no intention of engaging in this activity in the short term. I haven’t been in a serious relationship in a while, so it’s not like I’m doing these things for my own amusement. I intend to spend considerable time in this place.’
The reality star eventually discussed her relationship with Ceylan in an exclusive interview with E! News, during which she described him as “just wonderful.” In January, she expressed that he had “pretty much every trait I wanted in someone.”
Because of the way he interacts with my kids, I’m not sure if there will ever be another babysitter like him because he is so wonderful. After the MTV series documented Leah’s first pregnancy, she quickly rose to prominence in the public eye.
She gave birth to her twin daughters Aliana Hope and Aleah Grace, now 12, with her boyfriend at the time, Corey Sims, while the cameras were rolling. The couple got married in 2010 and were married until 2011.
Leah then had a marriage with Jeremy Calvert which lasted from 2012 to 2015. They are parents to a daughter named Adaline Faith who is 9 years old. Leah revealed that she had a new perspective on dating before ending her relationship with Ceylan.
She told E! News that she wishes she had prioritized herself more in her past partnerships instead of putting others first. She said in September 2022: “I feel like you have to take the time to get to know yourself before you even go out there and be extremely committed to someone.”
“I feel like you have to take time to get to know yourself.” “When I was younger, I really regret not living a more active lifestyle. I wish I had put more effort into the things that gave me purpose and motivation, like going on more dates, getting to know myself better, and pursuing more of the things that brought me happiness.”
