Last Lunar Eclipse of 2022 to Occur on Karthika Purnima, Details

Bhubaneswar: The second last lunar eclipse of 2022 will occur on November 8, the day of Kartika Purnima. This lunar eclipse will begin at 2:38 PM and last until 6:18 PM.

Pakatyaga (fast) for this lunar eclipse will start at 8.29 am. Devaniti Nised or the time without rituals in the temples will also be at the same time. The moksha time of the eclipse will be 6.18 pm.

This lunar eclipse will be visible in India and some other foreign countries. According to astrology, the eclipse will occur during Bharani Nakshyatra and Mesha Rashi.

The lunar eclipse on November 8 will occur between 5 and 6 pm according to the Hindu calendar. It will be seen in Delhi, Kolkata, Ranchi and Patna, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Guwahati and several other cities. According to astrology, it will be a total lunar eclipse.

What not to do during a lunar eclipse:

According to astrologers, no food should be eaten during a lunar eclipse. Worship is prohibited during the eclipse. During this time the doors of the temples are closed. Therefore, people should also close the doors of their worship room in the house during an eclipse.

During an eclipse we should not fall asleep. Also, pregnant women should not leave their homes during an eclipse. Rather chanting the names of one’s Ista Deva or Devi during an eclipse is good.
