Fast Pakistani bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi is ready for the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia. The pacemaker was injured and thus missed the 2022 Asian Cup and the home series of seven T20I games against England which her team won 4-3. Afridi’s last appearance with Pakistan dates back to July this year, but his presence at the mega event T20 will certainly lift the spirits of the team. Former Pakistani fast thrower Mohammad Sami believes there has been a lack of “shot throwers” in the team in Shaheen’s absence.
Sami said Haris Rauf and Mohammad Wasim Jr are also doing well, but Shaheen’s inclusion will make the Pakistani team “more lethal”.

Shaheen’s participation in the match seems certain as the player has recovered from a knee injury. On Saturday, Pakistan captain Babar Azam provided an update on the fitness of the bowler ace.
“Shaheen is back, Fakhar (Zaman) is back too. We have six days for the first game and we also have two training games. We have to get used to it. Shaheen especially as it is. He is back, he is in perfect shape and always gives 100%. I can’t wait to see him play, ”Babar said.
