Jammu and Kashmir: A Kashmiri Pandit succumbed to his injuries after terrorists opened fire at Choudhari Gund village in Shopian district today afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Puran Krishan Bhatt Kashmiri Pandit son of Tarak Nath Bhatt who was shot and critically injured by the militants.
He was immediately shifted to the hospital, where he was declared dead by the doctors.
The entire area has been cordoned off and a search is underway, police said.
Senior police and paramilitary officers have reached the spot,” the police said.
On August 16 this year, terrorists killed another Kashmiri Pandit, Sunil Kumar Bhatt of Chottigam village in the same district, while another Kashmiri Pandit, Pertimber Nath Bhatt, was injured in that attack.
