Kanye West’s Instagram account has been banned for violating the terms of service

Kanye West is in trouble with Metta because he shared a post that some people thought was anti-Semitic.

According to NBC News and CNN, Instagram closed the Grammy Award winner’s account and deleted content from his page because he violated the site’s rules and guidelines.

However, a Meta spokesperson did not tell either news outlet what content violated their rules. In a post on Friday, which has since been taken down, West shared a screenshot of a text conversation between him and Diddy.

The conversation allegedly shows West saying that Combs is controlled by Jews. NBC News said he wrote in the caption, “Jesus is Jewish.”

The American Jewish Committee (AJC) condemned West’s language on Friday for perpetuating “anti-Semitic tropes of greed and control,” it wrote in a statement. “Kanye West needs to figure out how to make a point without using anti-Semitism. The musician has made people hate Jews for the past week.

They also talked about his appearance this week on Tucker Carlson Tonight, where he said Jared Kushner’s work with Israel, which led to a peace treaty with the United Arab Emirates, was “to make money.”

“The theme of greed led to a long list of Jewish stereotypes, such as being money-oriented or controlling the world’s finances. The theme of control seeks to falsely portray Jews as secret puppet masters ruling over others,” the AJC continued. “You have to learn that words matter.”

After his controversial two-part interview on the Fox News show, where he talked about the backlash he received for wearing a “White Lives Matter” shirt at his Yeezy show on Monday at Paris Fashion Week, West suddenly switched from Instagram to Twitter on Friday night, where he called out Meta owner Mark Zuckerberg. West’s last tweet was on Election Day in November 2020.

“Look at that Mark. How are you kicking me off instagram?” he wrote in part, sharing a throwback photo of the two singing karaoke. Elon Musk said, “Welcome back to Twitter, my friend,” in response to the tweet.
