His mother and father quickly realized that their son had lost his once boisterous enthusiasm, was detached and wanted to be left alone.

During high school, he participated in traditional extracurricular activities, such as music and athletics. However, he admitted that he started thinking about things like murder and necrophilia when he was only 14 years old. After a while, he joined the army, from which he eventually received an honorable discharge.

How did they catch him?

It wasn’t until one of Dahmer’s victims fled his apartment that the police were able to catch him, despite the fact that they had received several reports from Dahmer’s neighbor, Glenda Cleveland.

He goes by the name Tracy Edwards. On July 22, 1991, Tracy ran away from Jeffrey’s house, and the next day the police caught him wandering the streets with handcuffs attached to one of his wrists. He then led the police back to Jeffrey Dahmer’s apartment, where he promised to get the keys to the handcuffs.

However, when the police investigate Dahmer’s bedroom, they discover frightening Polaroid photos that Jeffrey took. When Dahmer was arrested, the police came to further search his apartment.

What they found was more than shocking: chloroform, believed to have been used to drug his victims, a barrel of acid to dissolve the men’s bodies but preserve their skeletal remains, knives, various parts of the body that had been dismembered and gruesome photographs of the victims’ bodies.
