Hugh Jackman will return as Wolverine in the upcoming Deadpool 3 movie, but that’s not the only thing actor Ryan Reynolds revealed in videos he posted earlier this week.
People who looked closely noticed that the clips appeared to be filmed in a very familiar location. Swifties noticed that the staircase, color, size and layout of the bookcase behind Reynolds in the clip are the same as in Taylor Swift’s All Too Well short film, which she herself wrote and directed.
When Reynolds moves into the kitchen, the details of the refrigerator and the window in the background look like those in All Too Well, when Sadie Sink and Dylan O’Brien’s characters dance around the kitchen in the light of the refrigerator.
And at various points in the short film, both Sink and O’Brien can be seen standing in close proximity to a stained glass door which features what looks like a crown etched into the glass. Although the door is not shown in the videos Reynolds posted, his wife Blake Lively posted a photo of the two of them standing outside the same window with him in his Deadpool costume, which he wears in the videos.
So what is it all about? Swift, Lively and Reynolds have been close friends for a long time. Lively even directed Swift’s “I Bet You Think About Me” music video, her first directorial effort.
The fact that the Deadpool video and Swift’s short film were filmed in the same location is probably just a favor between friends or a fun coincidence for the most observant fans, but with Reynolds’ penchant for teasing and Swift’s long-standing use of Easter eggs and hidden clues, who knows?
