Huge stash of fake foreign liquor seized in Dhenkanal, 3 arrested

Denkanal: Excise officials have seized a huge stash of fake foreign liquor and arrested 3 accused in this connection from Lodhani village in Parjang area of ​​Odisha’s Dhenkanal district today.

The arrested accused have been identified as Antaryami Biswal and Suresh Behera of Lodhani village and Pandav Prusti of Road village.

According to reports, Pandav created the fake foreign liquor and gave it to Antaryami. They also supplied the counterfeit liquor to many unscrupulous merchants.

Later, the excise department and the police received information about the smuggling of fake foreign liquor in the area.

Soon, Dhenkanal Collector Sarioj Kumar Sethi and State Excise Superintendent Pradeep Kumar Panigrahi appointed a team to hunt down the accused.

In addition, actions by Excise Department officials were held at several places in the districts.

Later today from the excise department. nabbed the accused from Lodhani village and busted their fake foreign liquor business empire.

According to the Excise Directorate, the three defendants were handed over to the court after their arrest.

It should be noted that in a similar incident on August 23, excise department officials seized 135 liters of ginger liquor and 20 liters country liquor in Eram Nuagon village under Basudevpur block in Odisha’s Bhadrak district. The accused were later produced before the court.
