Hero MotoCorp launches Xtreme 160R Stealth Edition 2.0 in India

Hero MotoCorp has launched the 2.0 edition of the Xtreme 160R Stealth Edition in India. The motorcycle is priced at Rs 1.30 lakh and offers several upgrades over its predecessor. However, the changes in the Stealth edition are only cosmetic and there are no mechanical changes offered to the bike compared to the Xtreme 160R.

What’s new?

The Hero Xtreme 160R Stealth Edition 2.0 features Hero Connect technology that offers smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth. This can be used to track the location of the motorcycle at any given point in time.

The other major change to the bike is the black paint with red accents. The red accent is present on the rear rails, the engine head, the monoshock, the bottom of the fork and a few other places.

Basic specifications

The new Hero Xtreme 160R Stealth Edition 2.0 is powered by the same 163cc engine that powers the Xtreme 160R. 163cc single-cylinder engine that receives air-oil cooling and offers a maximum power of 15.2 hp. and a maximum torque of 14 Nm. In terms of suspension, the Xtreme 160R Stealth Edition gets a 37mm telescopic fork and an adjustable seven-speed adjustable monoshock with preload.

As for the brakes, the bike offers a 276 mm disc at the front, while the rear is taken care of by a 220 mm disc. ABS is only available in the form of single-channel ABS only. The motorcycle gets a 12-litre fuel tank along with 100/80-17 front tire and 130/70-R17 rear tire.

Competitors

The Hero Xtreme 160R Stealth Edition 2.0 gets competition in the form of Bajaj Pulsar N160, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Yamaha FZ-FI and Suzuki Gixxer.
