According to reports, this film will introduce the world to the stories of RSS founder Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, along with MS Golwalkar, Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, K Sudarshan and Mohan Bhagwat. Telugu, Tamil and Hindi cinema actors are also in demand for the film. Previously, Vijayendra Prasad also planned to shoot a film about the spread of Hindutva from Shivaji to Prime Minister Narendra Modi before the last Lok Sabha election.

According to the filmmakers, this Hedgewar biopic written by Makarand Sawant is a tribute to “Doctorji” and the film will show the pre-independence events that led to the founding of the world’s largest volunteer organization, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. The Sangh was founded by Keshav Baliram Hedgewar on September 27, 1925 in Nagpur on Vijayadashami day. According to this director Jayanand Shetty, ‘Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar was a visionary. He is a symbol of the revolution and he always will be. Our film is a tribute to his journey, his struggle and his travels.

The director of the film, Sunny Mandavara, says: “Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar has always been at the forefront of the fight against British rule. No one has ever made a movie about him, it’s time to educate people about his role. Cast selection to play Hedgewar and his fellow Sangh in the film is underway, and their names will reportedly be announced soon.
