Alvida is a story of love, death and family that will be directed by Vikas Bahl (Queen, Super 30).

Review of Alvida’s film: a look at the script
Over the past couple of years, Hindi films like Ramprasad’s Tehravi, Paglat and a few others have seen how to deal with life’s greatest fear – the loss of a loved one. What kind of circus does this lead to, and do we really have to keep doing what we’ve been doing for years? With his writings about him, Vikas Bahl adds something new and a little more modern, and before anyone can question his idea of him, he infuses them with the utmost emotion. At least it’s good for him.
Alvida, which was written by Vikas, is about a family struggling with the death of the matriarch, who was the glue that disabled that boundary, but still together, family together. So when these characters meet and talk to each other for no reason, unlike happy flashbacks, Bahl makes it clear that he wants a wave of emotions and memories to reach his audience because his story will continue that way. He connects audiences to his film by starting with a tragedy and then slowly going back in time to show what has been missing so far between the characters. And the moment you see Neena Gupta for the first time, as a spectator, you shed at least a few tears.
Please forgive me for using the word “feeling” too much, but goodbye, it’s all about the power of that word. The obvious goal is to see the world without a mother. It may be different for everyone, but the connection and its absence remain the same. Vikas does it in a very nice way too. Because he’s not just thinking about what happened, but also about what life is like and what it would be like without him.
In his desire to create real people and real problems, he adds humor to the script, largely based on the situation. But he knows that his goal is to make people cry, so he doesn’t spend much time walking around the funeral. And I challenge you to hold back your tears, because the feeling of emptiness that we all fear penetrates and breaks our hearts, even if there are flaws. Even when Neena Gupta dies and lies on a piece of ice, you can’t help but cry, and when the story goes back in time, it brings out the heat.
The idea of how and by whom to cry is deeply rooted. A father who is angry with everything around him because he has lost his temper, a son who makes him understand that he is not the only one who has lost someone and a daughter who does not get along with his father. And now he has to go through conditional rituals so that his mother can achieve salvation. Everything stops.
Not that the film is as good as Bahl Ki Rani, which is another example of how well he handles emotions. (We are not talking fabulous here). But goodbye isn’t always good for making a change. Most of the time it feels sudden and you can feel the difference between weird and sad scenes. When a new scene starts, the bump is also felt. Most of the time I spoke not only because of the transition, but also because Vikas was throwing them on weird notes. Like when a father catches his son having sex on the night of his mother’s cremation, and there’s a reason for that. Congratulations on bringing up the modern question, but the beginning is a little awkward.

Even though she is 80, Amitabh Bachchan continues to improve as an actor and the fact that she is a megastar makes me respect him more and more every day. He has to be strong because he is the father of this field. My heart breaks in every scene, but especially in the two where he prepares for the funeral but he doesn’t have time to cry and where he gets to talk to his wife’s ashes. You can tell that the actor doesn’t take his job lightly and really makes you feel all the emotions he feels. Whether it’s his problem, his fear, his anger, his love or something else.
As the film progresses, we learn more about Neena Gupta. She is the perfect person and she is so kind that you can’t imagine one of her like her on a funeral pyre. Her acting of hers is full of warmth and whenever she’s with Big B, she fulfills her dream of being the heroine she always deserved.
Rashmika Mandanna gives an honest performance, but it’s difficult for her because Bachchan is on screen more than anyone else. The actor makes you believe in her tears and cares about Tara because most of her problems are with her. The actor follows the path very well even if he has a lot of responsibilities on him. He gets top marks for allowing him to register his own line. But it’s kind of creepy when someone says the family is Punjabi and Tara is the real baby and she wasn’t adopted.
Pavail Gulati, Sahil Mehta, Elli Avram and Ashish Vidyarthi and all are doing their part with conviction and conviction. Sunil Grover impresses in a cameo. Think of it as Vikas Bahl trying to tell you what the movie is about, without preaching too much. The idea works because he says it in a way that is easy to understand and love. Vikas Bahl knows his audience and gives them what they want. I look at things with a critical eye, but most people will look at the flaws of the story only to cry at the end.
There are obvious holes in the story that could have been fixed in the film version. There is no point in Mudassar saying, “I’ll come to the funeral, you will go to Tara,” and then come over there the next morning. Or, Nakul’s story is so quick that he has to get off the train to charge the phone, even though we all know the train has plugs to charge the phone.
After a long time, Amit Trivedi has released an album that will win hearts. Both Jaikal Mahakal and Chhan Pardesi are great songs, but there are others worth listening to.
