Five years after the fall of Bondo

It was 9:30 am when the stone broke. On August 23, five years ago, more than three million cubic meters of debris fell from the north of Piz Cengalo 3,369 meters in Bergell to the valley. The Bondo landslide was one of the largest in Switzerland. Eight hikers lost their lives in Val Bondasca. More landslides and mudslides followed over the next few days.
