Dharmendra Pradhan engages in dialogue with the Group of Eight Australian Universities

Union Education and Skill Development Minister Dharmendra
Pradhan held discussions with academic leaders from the top group of
Eight (G08) Australian universities to successfully build
Australia-India Research Collaboration.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister echoed the Prime Minister
Shri Narendra Modi’s mantra of ‘Jai Anusandhan’ which he added to
the slogan “Jai Jawan, Jai Kisaan, Jai Vigyan” in his 76th independence
Daily address.

He said that this will be part of the resistance and the formation of
underpinning India’s economic growth over the next decade and
beyond.

The minister shared India’s determination to bring everything together
her resource to make this Techade decade of India as well as for
relying on yourself. Strengthening research cooperation with
India is a win-win for all, he added.

Noting that India and Australia have promising research
partnership, he welcomed the Group of Eight Universities for
further strengthening of research collaborations as well as acceptance
new opportunities to implement common and national priorities and
to deliver scalable solutions to global challenges.

The minister also spoke with the representatives of
Australian Government Monash University Academics and Members
of the Australia-India Chamber of Commerce Dialogue on Developing
Opportunities for collaboration in education, research and skills
Sectors”.

The minister said that PM Modi has emphasized on evidence base
research and has given the mantra of “laboratory to ground” and
“laboratory earth” to ensure the progress, welfare and well-being of
humanity. India is making vigorous efforts to implement
curiosity-driven research and innovation at all levels, he
added.

An official release said that Pradhan also had a lively interaction
with Indian students studying in Melbourne. He was happy to learn
for their academic experience and said he was enriched by
their ideas of establishing India as a knowledge superpower.
