Bhubaneswar: Brown sugar users in Bhubaneswar beware! The commissionerate police started conducting anti-khati drives from Tuesday.
The Chandrashekharpur police conducted raids in the area and arrested seven brown sugar traders today.
Brown sugar worth more than lakhs was seized from them.
Police sources said that these peddlers regularly use brown sugar and force their friends to use it. They basically create a need for these narcotic substances.
The police added that most of the gang members are yet to be arrested. However, the police are further checking whether they have committed crimes under the influence of drugs or not.
