California: The murder of four Indian people kidnapped in America, were members of the Sikh family of Hoshiarpur

The four Indians of the diaspora kidnapped in America have died. The California sheriff confirmed his death. Among the dead were a couple, the eight-year-old daughter and the girl’s uncle. All four were members of an NRI Sikh family of Hoshiarpur origin in Punjab.

The kidnapper is suspected of killing the four. We are informed on Monday that four Indians of Jasdeep Singh ethnicity, his wife Jasleen Kaur, their eight-month-old daughter Aruhi and Jasdeep’s brother, Amandeep Singh, were kidnapped in the city of Merced in California, province of America. The bodies of the four were found in a garden.

A suspect was arrested yesterday
US police yesterday arrested a suspect in connection with the kidnapping. He too was found in critical condition. It is understood that he attempted suicide. The four who died and their families are originally residents of Harsi Pind in Hoshiarpur, Punjab.

His car was found burned down on Monday evening. On Tuesday morning, investigators told US police that an ATM card from one of the hijacked men was used in an ATM in Atwater, Merced County. Only after this was the kidnapping confirmed and the suspect who used the credit card was identified and arrested. US investigative agencies said the suspect had been identified as Jesus Manuel Salgado. He attempted suicide. Along with his treatment, interrogations are also underway.

Hoshiarpur’s family received no ransom demands
Family members of the kidnappers in Hoshiarpur in Punjab said Wednesday that the kidnappers had not asked them for a ransom. The cell phones of the kidnapped relatives were found. His car was found burnt 20-25km from his office. Jasdeep and Amandeep’s parents, Dr Randhir Singh and Kripal Kaur, are shocked to learn about the kidnapping. Both have recently retired from the Ministry of Health and Education.
On September 29, Dr. Randhir returned to India from abroad. Later he went on a pilgrimage to Uttarakhand. When he arrived in Rishikesh, he received a phone call from his daughter-in-law Jaspreet Kaur from America, who told him about the kidnapping of her husband Amandeep and other family members. After that, Dr. Randhir returned to his village on Tuesday evening and contacted America.
