Bray Wyatt makes a surprise return at the WWE Extreme Rules PPV

At Saturday night’s WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view in Philadelphia, a white rabbit and cryptic messages that have been teased for weeks paid off.

After Riddle defeated Seth Rollins in the ring, WWE announcers Michael Cole and Corey Graves were about to end the show when the screen went dark and suspicious-looking people started appearing in the crowd.

“He’s got the world in his hands,” the speakers roared, and characters from Bray Wyatt’s Firefly Fun House appeared in the crowd. Then, as if out of nowhere, a door appeared in the middle of the stage and a lantern came out of it.

A man with a scary mask walked through the door. When the man took him down, it was Bray Wyatt and the crowd went wild. The show ended when the screen went dark.

As of last month, WWE has been hinting that Wyatt could return. There were hints that Wyatt would return around 15 months after leaving the company, but it was never really certain. During live events and house shows, the company will also play “White Rabbit” by Jefferson Airplane.

Over the past few years, Wyatt’s “Fiend” character has been one of the most popular shows WWE has put on. During the peak of the coronavirus pandemic, WWE managed to make the character popular by putting him in epic feuds with John Cena and Randy Orton.

When it started in 2013, Wyatt’s role as a cult leader was also well-liked. However, Wyatt was released July 31, 2021. His release marked the end of his 12-year run in WWE. WWE has changed a lot since then.

After Vince McMahon left the company, Triple H, whose real name is Paul Levesque, took over creatively and brought back stars such as Johnny Gargano, Dakota Kai, Hit Row, Karrion Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux.
