According to reports, a transfer fee of two million euros will flow into Berlin and Hertha will also secure a resale stake in a future relocation. Boyata moved to the German capital from Celtic Glasgow on a free transfer in 2019.
The Belgian has played 76 official matches for Hertha and has been wearing the captain’s armband since 2020. He had to give up on this for the new season, as well as instead of him in the Bundesliga squad. The 31-time national team player now wants to recommend himself for the Winter World Cup via Bruges.
