Bikie associate Levi Johnston allegedly murdered in ‘horrific’ stabbing

Four men remain at large after the alleged “horrific” and “brash” murder of a cycling partner outside a Brisbane gym.

Levi Johnston, 23, was stabbed to death near the Goodlife Health Club in Carindale on the eastern outskirts of the city on the corner of Creek and Pine Mountain Rds at around 1pm Monday.

He was reportedly stabbed multiple times after being ambushed by five men on a Nissan patrol.

The Courier-Mail reported that Mr. Johnston was known to the Comancheros, but was not a patched member.

Investigative Superintendent Andrew Massingham said the circumstances of the alleged stabbing were quite heartbreaking.

“What we have is a rather graphic and disturbing scene where a young man lost his life in the middle of a roadway,” he said on Monday.

There were five men who intended to cause significant injury and subsequent death to this individual.

“When the white Mercedes attempted to get out of the parking lot, it was hit by what we believe to be a Nissan Patrol, which is white in color with a silver bull bar.

“A number of men have since left Nissan and also Audi. There were five in total, five men. They approached the victim in the driver’s seat. They then used a crowbar to break the driver’s window.

The alleged stabbings occurred when Mr. Johnson tried to escape through the passenger door, crossed the street and was allegedly chased by two of the men.

One of the men then confronted him at an intersection and stabbed the victim with a knife several times, police said.

Emergency services were alerted and provided first aid to Mr. Johnson, but he died shortly after from his injuries.

Four of the men fled the scene in a Nissan Patrol, while the fifth fled on foot after being unable to start a black Audi.

The canine team agents arrested a man not far from the alleged murder site at around 4:00 pm.

He was arrested and is currently assisting the police in their investigation.

Superintendent Massingham said the five men were “extremely motivated” in their alleged attack on Johnson.

“These males were extremely motivated to hunt down this individual. This incident was completely filmed by CCTV cameras. I’ve seen this CCTV camera and it’s scary and awful, ”she said.

“The images I have seen, I have not seen in disguise.

“It’s a disturbing act, it’s a cheeky act … it’s cowardly.”

No further arrests or charges were made on Tuesday morning.
