Verdict of the film

Atithi Bhooto Bhava has some comedy scenes in the first few minutes of the film that will keep you entertained. Although the film’s story is very old, a few comedic scenes and emotional scenes from Atithi Bhooto Bhava make it interesting to watch to some degree. However, the film fails after the protagonist begins to travel in search of the ghost’s love interest. While there are a few moments here and there that look good, overall the second half of the film will make us feel bored with some old writing and executions.

While it comes to acting, Pratik Gandhi as Srikant looks natural and has done a good job in that role. Sharmin Segal and Divinaa Thackur are not up to par, but somehow they managed to pull off the scenes. It’s Jackie Shroff, who will grab our attention with his performance. He will make us laugh with his comedic timing and make us feel with his emotional performance throughout the film. The actor who played the younger version of Jackie shroff also looked good with his portrayal of him. All the other actors did their part as required for the film.

Technically Atithi Bhooto Bhava looks average. The music of the film does not bring out any sensation during the emotional scenes and the songs are forgettable. The photography curated by Madhu Vannier is partly good. Although the film was shot in beautiful locations, the cinematographer failed to capture the essence of those locations. The production values of the film are ok.

Director Hardik Gajjar chose an old storyline and tried to add some fun and excitement to it. But the written scenes do not connect us emotionally to the characters and this fails to engage the audience.

Overall, Atithi Bhooto Bhava is a mean comedy and emotional drama, which can be seen once.

Rating: 2.75 / 5
