Stages of the review
The Combined Geoscientist Examination will consist of three consecutive stages. The first two stages are the preliminary and main examination, while the third stage is the personality test/interview.
Stage-I : Geo-Science Combined (Preliminary) Examination (Objective Type) with two papers to select the candidates for Geo-Science (Main) Combined Examination. The marks obtained in the preliminary examination will be taken into account to determine the final merit. The total score of the exam is 400 points.
Stage-II : Geoscientist (Main) (Descriptive Type) Combined Examination with three papers to select candidates for the Personality Test (Stage-III). The marks obtained in the main examination will be taken into account to determine the final mark. The total score of the exam is 600 points.
Stage-III: Personality Test/Interview. It consists of 200 stamps.
