Mark Gurman for Bloomberg News:

In the video, released on September 5, Apple’s Tony Blevins was approached by TikTok and Instagram creator Daniel Mac as part of a series asking owners of expensive cars what their occupations are. The executive was stopped by Mac as he parked a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, a discontinued sports car that fetches hundreds of thousands of dollars.

When asked what he does for a living, Blevins said: “I have rich cars, I play golf and I caress big-breasted women, but I take weekends and major holidays.” He also advertised that he has a “hellish dental plan”.

In fact, Blevins is Apple’s vice president of procurement and is in charge of closing deals with suppliers and partners. He most recently worked on the company’s satellite deal with Globalstar Inc., conducted cell modem negotiations with Qualcomm Inc. and Intel Corp., and was tasked with reducing the costs of many critical parts that go into Apple’s mobile devices.

Blevins, a 22-year Apple veteran, confirmed the incident a Bloombergsaying that the meeting took place on August 18. “I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely apologize to anyone who has been offended by my erroneous attempt at humor,” she said.

MacDailyNews takes: Yes, Apple is worth the loss of 22 years of high-end chord experience (dripping sarcasm).

Someday, somehow, the pendulum will return to sanity.

We bet that Blevins could live several lives with what he already did and was granted to him by Apple. So enjoy your retirement, Tony! (We bet he will!)
