Apple releases tvOS 16 and HomePod 16

Apple released tvOS 16 on Monday, the latest version of the tvOS operating system available for Apple TV 4K and ‌Apple TV‌ HD. Apple has also released HomePod 16 software for the HomePod and HomePod mini.

The update offers game controller support for the Nintendo Joy-Cons and the Nintendo Pro Controller. When Matter launches, ‌Apple TV‌ with tvOS 16 installed will support it, for better interoperability between smart home accessories from different companies.

  1. Setup> System: Software Updates
  2. Download the latest software.

Pod 16:

  1. In the Home app on your iPhone or iPad, tap the Home icon.
  2. Tap Home settings.
  3. Tap Software Update.

  5. Tap Install if an update is available.
