And the same goes for Mac, Apple Watch, and iPad customers.

For the quarter ended September, Apple’s overall revenue is expected to be $ 88.8 billion, according to FactSet. This is more than 6.5% compared to the same quarter last year. Sales of the iPhone, which account for about half of the company’s overall revenue, are expected to reach $ 43 billion, up 10.7% from the previous year.

Last month, Apple announced its latest range of smartphones with the iPhone 14, which includes two lower-priced base models and two premium versions of the phone with the Pro designation. Analysts expect weakness in the base models as consumers turn to. the Pro models, which are equipped with a significantly better camera and chips.

According to JP Morgan analyst Samik Chatterjee, the latest iPhone Pro models are expected to account for 60% of overall iPhone 14 sales. Previously, it was split more evenly between base and Pro models across iPhone 12 generations and 13, he claimed.

Strong Pro sales are expected to offset the potential weakness in overall iPhone sales by raising Apple’s average selling price for the iPhone.

MacDailyNews takes: As expected:

Apple should have done this earlier, but it’s nice to see further differentiation between entry-level and “Pro” iPhones which, of course, will skew more buyers towards iPhone Pro models, while boosting Apple’s iPhone ASP. The planned removal of the elegant kludge (notch) in favor of a more refined pill-and-perforation design exclusively in the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will also help differentiate Pro models from non-Pro iPhones later this year, moving the mix towards high-end iPhones. – MacDailyNews, July 6, 2022

The Apple iPhone mix will easily be the strongest ever. Don’t be surprised by reports that Apple has “cut iPhone 14 orders,” aka iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus. The company will likely increase iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max orders to reflect the strong mix that bodes well. obviously for the average selling price of Apple’s iPhone (ASP). – MacDailyNews, September 14, 2022
