Apple at the time stated that Apple Music plans to launch a dedicated classical music app next year that combines Primephonic’s classic UI that fans have come to love with more added features. It looks like the new app is coming soon.

Andrew Griffin for The Independent:

Apple is launching a new music app, focusing on classic recordings, it seems to suggest the hidden code.

The company announced over a year ago that it was working on a new separate Apple Music Classica app. He said it would arrive before the end of 2022 and hasn’t mentioned the app since.

However, as that deadline approached, references to the new app were found in the existing Apple code. The new updates seem to refer to “Apple Music Classical”.

Much is unclear about the new app, such as whether it will require a separate, additional subscription.

MacDailyNews takes: If we were to bet, we’d bet it wouldn’t require Apple Music subscribers to purchase a separate, additional subscription. Of course, nothing is safe until the official launch.

Apple said in August 2011: With the addition of Primephonic, Apple Music subscribers will get a vastly improved classical music experience starting with Primephonic playlists and exclusive audio content. Over the next few months, Apple Music Classical fans will have a dedicated experience with Primephonic’s best features, including improved navigation and search capabilities by composer and repertoire, detailed classical music metadata views, as well as new features and benefits.
