The day after devotees celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi’s last day, which is Ganesh’s idol immersion ceremony, he shared the video on Twitter with the caption: “I think Bappa is greeting us with his trunk. … And we say: Ganpati Bappa Morya, lover of Pudchya! See you next year.”

One user commented: “Did Ganpati go to Africa?” Another user compared the calf kick to cricketer Ravindra Jadeja’s signature celebratory move, where he wields his bat like a sword.

Ganesh Visarjan, which marks the end of the 10-day festival when devotees so desire Pope See you in the hope that next year he will visit and bless you.
On this day, the idols of Lord Ganesha are taken to nearby bodies of water and immersed. Devotees bring idols to immerse themselves in a grand procession.
The pandemic-induced restrictions had disrupted the celebrations for the past two years. Freed from these restrictions, this holiday was celebrated with great enthusiasm this year.
Thousands of people gathered yesterday for the immersion ceremony of the idol Ganesh at Girgaum Chowpatty in Mumbai.
