Analyst consensus estimates (for Refinitiv) call for EPS of $ 1.27 per share on revenue of $ 88.90 billion.

Kif Leswing for CNBC:

The company faces several headwinds, but investors are hoping the iPhone maker is largely immune thanks to its strong branding, dedicated owners, and strong demand for expensive devices.

The demand for PCs and smartphones is decreasing around the world, potentially affecting Apple …

MacDailyNews takes: Apple does not produce PCs or smartphones, but Macs and iPhones.

Wall Street expects Apple’s sales to grow in the September quarter on an annual basis. Analysts also expect slight growth in the current quarter ending December, which is traditionally the biggest of the year for Apple (and has an extra week of sales this year).

Apple hasn’t provided official guidance since the start of the pandemic, but offers analysts some data points that allow them to get back to the ability to predict sales. Any indication that suggests a lighter-than-expected holiday season could hit the headline hard.

MacDailyNews takes: As always, it’s the guide (or what passes for it these days) that will most affect Apple’s share price in the coming days. Other market catalysts loom (gains and indications from other tech companies, US mid-term elections, interest rate hikes, inflation, recession, etc.).

As always, we’ll have Apple’s results for you as soon as they’re available, around 1:30 PM PDT / 4:30 PM EDT. Next, we will have live notes from Apple’s Q422 fiscal conference call with analysts. Just visit our home page today around 4:30 am and 4:45 pm for both.
