Week by week, the K-drama Alchemy of souls has grown significantly in popularity on Netflix. Fans of the series will be happy to know that the series has already been renewed for a second season, filming is currently underway and the k-drama will return to Netflix in December 2022.
Alchemy of souls (previous title Return) is an internationally licensed South Korean fantasy drama series produced by tvN and written by Hong Mi Ran and Hong Jung Yoon. The series is directed by Park Joon Hwa.
Jang Wook of the noble Jang family, in the country of Daeho, keeps an unpleasant secret about his birth that everyone in the country is discussing. A notorious troublemaker, Jang Wook accidentally meets Mu Deok, an elite warrior trapped in a physically weak body, but becomes his servant and secretly begins teaching Jang Wook how to fight.

Before the release of the first episode of Alchemy of soulsit was already announced that the series would get a second season.
This is incredibly positive news for Netflix subscribers who did Alchemy of souls one of the most popular weekly editions of the summer since its release on June 18, 2022. As of August 7, 2022, the series has amassed a total of 91,810,000 million hours. By the next batch of weekly data, we expect the number of views to exceed 100,000,000 million hours.
The series also performed well in Korea on cable television network tvN, where its 14th episode reached a rating of 7,600%.
When is the Netflix release date?
South Korean cable network tvN has confirmed that Alchemy of Souls Season 2 will arrive in December 2022.
The first episode is currently scheduled to air Saturday, December 10, 2022. The second season has half the number of episodes compared to season 1, bringing the total number of episodes to ten.
For five weeks, there will be two new episodes on Saturday and Sunday. The season finale is currently scheduled to air Sunday, January 8, 2023.
