A vortex forms over the Bay of Bengal, a yellow warning has been issued for 10 areas

Bhubaneswar: Rainfall continues in the coastal areas of the state due to an active cyclone over the Bay of Bengal. Additionally, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for heavy rainfall in 10 districts, which includes southern parts of condition.

According to reports, another cyclone has formed in the south central Bay of Bengal.

It is to be noted that yesterday the cyclone which was active near coastal and adjoining areas of Andhra Pradesh is currently active over south coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh.

Also, the grass line has been extended from Andhra Pradesh to Central Uttar Pradesh.

Along with this, Southwest Monsoon is active in the state due to which the state receives continuous rainfall.

According to the latest forecasts, the weather will persist until October 9.

As per the forecast, yellow warning for heavy rainfall on October 9 has been issued for Ganjam, Koraput, Rayadaga and Puri.

The weather is likely to change in 48 hours, the IMD informed.
