A girl and her brother died in a road accident in Odisha’s Jharsuguda

Jharsuguda: In a tragic incident, a girl and her brother were killed while a four-month-old baby sustained serious injuries in a road accident that took place in Jharsuguda district on Odisha on Wednesday. The incident took place at Basanta Vihar chowk under Badamal police restrictions.

The deceased girl and his brother have been identified as Anjali Sahu and Rupesh Sahu respectively. They are from the village of Chualiberna.

According to reports, Rupesh was returning to his village Chualiberna on a bicycle along with his sister Anjali and her four-month-old baby. At Basanta Vihar chowk, a speeding trailer truck which was moving from Sambalpur side to Sundergarh side hit their bike. As a result of the incident, the three were seriously injured.

Locals immediately rescued them and sent them to the Regional Hospital. However, Ajali died there during the treatment. On the other hand, her brother Rupesh was shifted to VIMSAR in Burla where he also succumbed to the injury. Treatment of the four-month-old child continues.
