At least 31 people, including children, were killed Thursday in a mass shooting at a kindergarten in a northeastern province of Thailand, police said.
The victims included 22 children as well as adults, a police spokesman said in a statement.
According to police statements, a man armed with a gun and a knife broke into the kindergarten in Nong Bua Lam Phu province. The attacker is reportedly a former police officer. The man has not yet been arrested and a manhunt has been launched.
The Prime Minister has alerted all agencies to take action and nab the culprit, a government spokesperson said.
